FAQ'S

FAQ's
  • Can I leave my car with you when I collect the horsebox?
You're welcome to leave your car with us while you have our horsebox on hire! We do have safe off-road parking, but please be aware your car is left at your own risk.

  • I don't have access to a hose. Does the Horsebox need to be washed out?
Whilst we do require our horseboxes to be returned free of muck and hay and tidy, we don't expect them to be washed out. Our horseboxes get disinfected and washed after every use to ensure they're safe and clean for the next person.

  • Am I allowed to take my dog in the horsebox with me?
Of course! We're dog friendly here and know how much we all love having our dogs on adventures with us! We do ask that the cab of the horsebox is returned to us in a relatively clean and hair free state, as we are all aware of how mucky our pups can get!

  • I have 6 points on my licence, can I still hire the horsebox?
Yes! Even if you have 6 points on your licence you can still hire our horsebox, but 6 points is the limit. Anything over 6 points unfortunately means you wont be able to hire the horsebox. If this is the case you can always consider getting a friend or family member to drive the horsebox for you, or use our transport service instead.

  • Do I have to return the horsebox full diesel?
Yes! The horsebox will be given to you with a full tank of Diesel and it is your responsibility to refill the tank with Diesel upon returning the horsebox to us.

  • Do I need to bring my horses passport?
Yes! It's important to bring a valid passport with you when you travel, whether that's for Self-Drive Hire, or transport with us. Failure to do so may compromise the use of breakdown cover and the recovery of your horses.

  • You're picking up my horse, can you take tack and rugs with you?
Sure! We've got plenty of storage room in our horseboxes for any of your kit, rugs, tack, grooming boxes etc! We accumulate a lot of gear with our horses and know things such as yard moves aren't straight forward when trying to work out how to move your horse as well as their stuff, but don't worry, we're happy to help!

  • Will my 17hh horse fit in your horsebox?
They will! Our horseboxes are surprisingly spacious and we've travelled many big horses in them! Having said this, our horseboxes do have a weight limit which restricts 2 horses of a large size being travelled together.

  • What is the payload of your horsebox?
Our horseboxes have around a 1 tonne payload. You can only be sure you are not over weight by using a weigh bridge. We are happy to recommend some local ones if your require.

  • Is there a limit on how many miles I can drive in a day?
Yes. The limit is 150 miles for half day hire and 300 miles for a full days hire. Any mileage you do over this allowance will be charged at 50p per mile.

  • What is your cancellation policy?
A full refund will be given up until 7 days before your hire date should you decide to cancel. The deposit will be retained if the booking is cancelled within 7 days of the hire date. Any cancellation within 48 hours will be charged at the full day rate.

  • Do I have to pay a deposit?
We do require a deposit to secure your booking, which will be retained in the event of any damages to our horseboxes. The cost of the deposit varies depending on which of our horseboxes you have. The prices start at £50.

  • You say I need 2 proofs of address, but all my bills are done online?
We will require 2 proofs of your current address before you are able to hire our horsebox. We understand most bills are now sent online so you can send these to us in PDF format which you can download online or on your providers app. This can be any bills such as Gas, Water, Electricity, Council tax, Phone Bill, TV provider etc.
